Guys, urgent question, do you need to have your foot on the brake to start a tip A6?

I thought you did, my wife said so I went to try her car and she's right and it does start with no foot on the brake, I though all cars these days require you to have your foot on the brake before they start

If you are starting it with the advanced key start button then it has to be on the brake.
If you are starting it with the key in the ignition, you do not need the foot on brake.
Shift out of Park, always needs foot on brake, regardless of how you started the car.
