just wanted to make sure there was no difference between the A6 bumper and S6 bumper for those model years....

I just checked with Audi this morning wanting to do the same on my 2010 a6. Audi parts showed a different part number;what they told me was it might work but suggested measuring your rear valence and take measurements on a s6 to compare. I think that I am going to modify mine to fit quad tips if possible and then have it re wrapped with carbon fiber.

Are you getting ready for the entire rear conversion? It appears to me that the 2010-11 s-line rear bumper would have the same fit as the S6 bumper. The standard 2009-10 bumper is different...it would need to be the s-line one.
Let me know if you are able to confirm...there was a 2009 S6 for sale sitting outside at paul miller Bentley in Parsippany if you want to compare them.
