Has anyone paid out of pocket for Amp update?
Since it's been getting cold I've had problems with sound just coming out of the drivers door and screeching as described in the TSB.

My car is well out of warranty and wanted to get a baseline for how much to expect to pay.

I'd imagine they would charge at least an hour labor. You can buy the CD for about $10 online if you are confident following the TSB instructions.

Glad I found this. I went out to the car this morning and had this issue with the sound localized to my left rear section. Everything seemed to work, radio and CD but horrible screeching. Temp as maybe 24F this morning and it persisted the entire drive to work (15 minutes). However at noon when I went out for errands the system was back to normal.
It's weird I've never had this before even though it has been temps that cold before.
