Found this link, on how to fully lower the headrests. http://public.fotki.com/BlueTTop/mods/a4_headrest_mod/
In our A6, you only need to remove one of the "clips" and then push on the side button to fully lower the headrests.
It looks so much better now. I always thought there was something wrong with the headrest design. I hated to see those chrome posts.

http://public.fotki.com/BlueTTop/mods/a4_headrest_mod/</a

All heads are different anyways. The Audi manual states that the top of the headrest should be between the top of your head and your eye level. Not a problem with me or my wife.
When required, you can still raise the headrest, even with this mod in place. i.e. raise the headrest to a higher position, for those with large heads.

Thanks cause I hated that look with the headrest up a little, i am sure that 1/2 inch on space won't make a big difference when it comes to whiplash. People need to grow up on these forums and quit bashing others that are trying to help. Thats why I don't come on here often.
