HELP! Faulty ignition lock, access module and comfort module
I have a 2006 Audi A6 3.2l Quattro. The dash says ignition lock fault contact workshop. The car still starts but I have to wait for the door open ding to stop and then it starts right up. The MMI is also completely black. No power to it. Took it to the dealer because I was previously told my key just needed to be reprogrammed and the dealer said it has a fault in the Access/Start control module, central electronics control module and comfort control module. The only issues I’m seeing is the warning on the dash and the MMI not working. Other than that everything seems to be fine. How can I fix this without paying more than the car is worth?

Ask them for a copy of the log from their scan - if you've already paid for them to diagnose, that shouldn't be a problem.
Sometimes if you can post the codes from the scan, you *may* get a response from the forum (but that's not a guarantee - I haven't had much luck here).
Sorry to hear you're having issues like this - these cars are an utter pain in the **** most of the time (I will never ever buy another Audi).

I got the MMI to come on, one fuse was blown and the other was not in there at all. So now it’s really just the ignition lock. Is the start access module easy to get to? Does it have to be reprogrammed to the car? The dealer doesn’t want to work on it and they gave me a print out but it basically just says the same thing - lists the modules that had faults on the scan

They didn't check the fuses? Jesus. I would've suggested that as a first step in eliminating the problem but assumed your mechanic would have at least done that.
Get a multi-meter and go over every fuse before you do anything else.
