Horrible experience with two 2008 S6s.
So my first 2008 S6 came home with me in October and went back to the dealer the next day with parking brake malfunctions. Then again, and again. Plus the dashboard rattled and they couldn't fix that after several attempts, so they finally agreed to replace the car.
So I got my next 2008 S6 in December. All ready to live happily ever after... after driving 110 miles, check engine light is on. It's still at the dealer over 1 week later waiting for an oxygen sensor.
I'm sorry, but these cars suck. I was a die hard Audi fan. Sold my 2000 S4 when I got the S6. I called the guy today to see if he wanted to sell the S4 back to me... he wrecked it a week after he got it and it's totalled!
I don't know what to buy now. My wife's new Benz is a rattling piece of crap, so I can't buy a Benz...maybe a BMW? Never cared much for those either, but I may have to go test drive.

The one problem alone isn't so bad, but...
I've been making payments on an $80k car now since October and have barely been able to drive it because it's always in for service (the first one, and now the replacement car.) I went from driving a 2000 S4, 100% reliable, no car payment, to paying $1500/mo to drive a Chevy HHR or Audi A3 (what the dealer gives me..if I'm lucky. 3 out of 5 times they would not give me a loaner car at all!)
I've given Audi enough chances, I give up.

Don't blame Audi. Sounds like your service dept is inadequate. You can always ream them when you get your service survey. Given the amount of money you spent they should have put a rush on your O2 sensor. My point is, blame your dealership not Audi. We had a W12 in the shop from another dealer and we had the car a month. BUT that was for an engine tear down and rebuild. Trust me it was an immense job. If you have an alternative dealer look into it. You could also call AoA and get your regional service manager involved.

Regional Manager and AOA will do something....
especially if this continued back and forth. Maybe try and go for a car with a few miles on it, get a refund on your lemon car and then buy a used one that has a few miles and has worked out the niggles it had from brand new?
Do you at least like the way it performs? Maybe an s8 would be more to your liking?

Sorry to hear....I have 9,000 rock solid miles on mine in 12 months but also ticked off...
..I haven't driven it enough! (A condition i am looking to change in 2008).
I hope things get straightened out on your car. You will love it when it works! Good luck!

I have to say though, I still like Audi....
but life is short...if it's too much b.s., and dealing with Audi dealers is b.s., then get out of it.
still, give AoA a chance...the squeaky wheel........gets the grease (or grease prints on your steering wheel).
