Hello all...
I am new to this site.
I just bought a 2006 A6 3.2 Q
I am in canada so as soon as it gets here I have to get the daytime running lights setup to pass inspection.
I was reading up and it seems this car has Programmable daytime running lights. Does anyone know how this is done?
can only dealors do it? I have seen the jumping the acc power to the fog lights as one solution but if I can reprogram it I think that would be best...
Thanks for your help
Ryan

I was able to turn mine on (I'm in Winnipeg now) by going into "car", external lighting, daytime running lights. Or something like that. I dont remember the exact menu names, but that's pretty close.

yea, just a simple MMI setting, in the area of the menus DrCold mentions - you can do yourself.
assuming this is a vehicle originally sold in the states: more complex if you want the ROW setting (whereby the DRLs stay on even when headlights are on) - that requires a friend with VAG-COM or a friendly Audi Service rep @ your dealer.
i imagine you only have to worry about the former for your inspection...
