Hi, I make monthly lease payments of $500 a month. I noticed I didn't receive a bill this month and the regular due date is in a few days, so I thought maybe the bill got lost in the mail. I logged onto AudiFS web-site and it shows that a payment isn't due at all this month until NEXT month.

Now it's weird enough they decided to skip this month, but here's the weird part - the total amount due is $1070. That's more than TWICE my monthly payment. If anything I would expect it to be $1000. So I looked at the breakdown...

March: Base Payment - $500
April: Base Payment - $0, Misc Payment - $570

Wtf is going on here?

You didn't mention who the finance/lease is thru but I'd certainly make copies of everything and give them a call..have them send you an email documenting this incident..something is strange and personally I'd send the payment in as usual or you might see one of those criminal moron TV repo teams outside.

It is probably the financing company offering to allow you to skip a month lease payment. They look like the nice guy allowing people to skip a payment when the economy is down, but they fail to let on that it extends your term and you pay extra for their kindness. I never have seen a finance company "negelct" to mail a statement though.

I do seem to remember one of my statements offering to allow me to skip a payment.

I agree with mystrodo, make the regular scheduled payment.
