I have 17in wheels with stock basic suspension. Would 19in wheels look ridiculous?

I'm running 19s on mine, and have it lowered with H&R sport springs. If you go with the 19's you're gonna have to run 245/35r19 tires. And I'll tell you they do have a decent sized sidewall. And I'm really not experiancing any overly harsh ride charachteristics with the setup. Here's a pic so you can see how it looks. But I do feel if you put the larger wheels it'll look like a 4x4 on the stock suspension.

You're happy with the H&Rs then?
Also, does your C6 exhibit any interior creaks? Most of my concern regarding making the ride firmer is worsening the series of interior creaks my car has.

No creaks at all. She's a model citizen. LOL! And yes I really like the H&Rs the ride isn't any harsher then the stock sport springs that the car came with. But here's how the standard sport springs made the car look.

And a side by side with a non sport A6

BTW if you want stock sport springs I still have mine...

unless you are talking comfort at high G turns or very high speeds where suspension compliance comes into play ![Big Grin](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
For example, going from 18 run flats to 19 non run flats means the 19's will ride a lot smoother - from experience.

then see what brand has a better rating. You may end up with the same comfort level even if you squish the sidewall down. Maybe call Tirerack too. My experience is there are a number of tires out there with pretty stiff sidewalls. As I have a tire machine at home for recreational use, these are the tires that I bitch on when installing. There are many which go on like cake and they have fairly soft sidewalls. They translated to smoother rides on some family and friends' rides.

a lighter rim and tire combination will give a better ride. The weight and mass loss, if sufficient, will more than compensate for loss of sidewall if you go up 2 inches in rim size.
That exactly what I did, losing about 6 lbs per wheel when I went with the 19" forged MTM rim. I also used the same tires - Conti CSC3s, so tire construction was not an issue. The ride actually improved.
