I was going into a deal for my Audi dealer to buy my 2008 A4 (pay the remaining 4 payments) and get a 2010 A4 Premium Plus, but wound up with a 2010 A6 Premium Plus. The dealer matched a price in a newspaper ad from an Audi dealer in the next state and when all was said and done, I was able to get the A6 for $120 a month more than a similarly equipped 2010 A4 P+ with Nav. Now that I have it, I love the A6 – it is so much more luxurious than the A4 and the engine alone is worth it - amazing. The 3.0 supercharged V6 is like 1000% smoother than my '08 A4’s 2.0T.
I got Audi Care and the excess wear lease insurance package. Also, the Audi loyalty cash for an A6 is $1,000 vs. $750 on an A4.
I don’t have a camera, but everyone knows what they look like (beautiful!)
I am sure I will be posting here looking for help with the MMI, etc. So far, really love the car!

I believe the $2,000 is for a purchase and $1,000 for a lease. This is what my delaer showed me. I am in NYS. I checked the AoA site and they show purchase incentives as $1,000 to $3,000 (depending on model) and lease ($500 to $1,500).

The A6 is indeed a very beautiful and certainly more luxurious car, and I have considered getting one instead of an A4. Congrats!
But I am still hang up sticking to manual cars, at least one more time, even though my wife is pushing me towards an A6/5-series just because of size. But I must admit it was agonizing to watch some of the incredible A6 deals I saw last year, deals which will probably come up again and tempt me hard.
I am right now agonizing watching all the great deals on BMW too, for the 3-series, and especially for the 5 that can be had for $8+K under MSRP. You can get a 528i premium pack + xenons for about $42K!!! But the manuals are extremely rare, and whenever I come across one during an online inventory search, it is typically not even remotely what I want![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
The joy of being able to drive a manual car is becoming increasingly elusive in the U.S.

I hear you about stick shifts. I am 68 and dove only sticks until I was almost 40, but now I see shifting as more or less a pain in the butt. I am living near NYC and even the suburban driving here is stop and go. It is not so much the effort in shifting (it's fun!) but the sense that you are killing the car (clutch) as you crawl home the 20 or so miles from work in an hour and a half or more. The automatic just silently and smoothly slips for you, easing the guilt. When I go upstate or to my daughter's in the Berkshires I do yearn for a stick, but that's only 10% of my driving. Sitting on the Long Island Expressway or Rte. 27 going to Montauk on a Friday night to spend the weekend with friends I love the automatic!

Congrats! I also just picked up my 2010 Night Blue A6 after almost a two-month wait from when I ordered it. Compared to my '09 A4 Prem+ which I traded in, I love the power & smoothness of the 3.0T, the comfort factor, the handling with the 18" sport package, and the techno goodies. I'll take some pics of the car later this week, but here are a couple of the more distinguishing features on mine (amaretto & black interior, and 18" sport package/rims):
