I have read many posts on Id'ing the various types of MMI systems in the 2008 A6 S-Line Quattro.
However, it seems mine is a little different. MY A6 has a backup camera but no NAV system installed. So Im having little difficulty ID'ing my MMI. Also its running 4140 S/W. any suggestions???

Most of the posts are on the version of the MMI. TMK - All the US cars have the same spec MMI system.

So as long as I have the correct S/W version I should have no problem with the update. Minus the usual BT problems?

Update to what - the MMI s/w? at 4140, you have an updated MMI version. I think 4610 is on my car. Are u having problems on the 4140 build?

u have MMI not MMI 3G. u r running MMI high SW 4140 which is not the highest but pretty high...maybe high enough for u. 4610 is highest.

not sure if Audi will ever put a higher SW version...my guess not

they will prob focus on 3g and c7 models.

not sure what is gained from 4140 to 4610
