I know that this is a repost, but
If a person is willing to pay more money for it, can the amaretto interior in the A6 be special ordered with an amaretto headliner, which looks much better than the normal black headliner? If so, how much more money would a person have to pay to special order the amaretto headliner with the amaretto interior in the A6? Also, if a person is willing to pay extra for it, can the A6 S Line be special ordered with burl walnut wood interior trim in place of the nauseating grey birch wood interior trim (including the wood and leather steering wheel with tiptronic manual shift paddles, if selected) the A6 S Line normally comes with? If so, how much more money would a person have to pay to special order the A6 S Line with burl walnut wood interior trim (again, including the wood and leather steering wheel with tiptronic manual shift paddles, if selected)? Last time I posted a message asking these questions, I did not get the simple, straight answers that I was looking for, regardless of what those simple, straight answers might be. This time, I want simple, straight answers to all of the above questions. Thank you dearly in advance!

For 2005, the A6 S Line had the same wood interior trim as the regular A6
For 2006, the A6 S Line normally comes with awful grey birch wood interior trim. Perhaps Alex TTQ, April/Verdegrrl and Atlas D3 know the answers to my questions. They are usually very knowledgeable about cars in general and Audis in particular. They know things that many dealers and AoA don't even know.

Some people have done it
Someone on this board was successful to get the dark wood with beige interior on his Canyon A6, a very good choice I may add. Don't think that cost any extra either. But your luck may vary.

Thanks. I am going for birch wood on black leather if the surcharge isn't too rediculous.
I wonder if it's just a matter of a factory worker walking over to the car being built with the different wood in hand. At the very worst, I suspect it slows down the assembly line for a short minute or two. How to ever learn the details behind the procedure and why they figure the added cost is probably impossible to figure.

Yes, I did it.
I ordered dark walnut instead of beige birch with my Cream Beige/Ebony interior. My car showed no upcharge on the invoice or the sticker. My dealer tells me that for '06, Audi has a regular process for special orders, but now they all entail an upcharge.

Does Audi's regular process for special orders include the following?
Amaretto headliner with amaretto interior on the A6, ventilated comfort seats with numerous adjustments for models other than the A8/A8L, Valcona leather for models other than the A8/A8L, Silk Nappa leather for regular (i.e. non S and non RS) models and dual pane security glass on models other than the A8/A8L. Many people (myself included) would gladly pay extra for these awesome features.
