Hi all,
new to the forum and the world of Audi and looking for some help.
I recently purchased an A6 Quattro, 3L bitdi. It’s an incredible car but burning oil, a bit too much for comfort.
It’s basically going through 1L of oil in about 1200-1300 km. The car only has 105,000km in total on the clock.
I had it in with an independent mechanic to check it over, PCV valve is ok, no sign of leaks and everything else seems ok. He did an oil service to ensure the correct oil was used and it was fresh (5W30 ESP-X Premium Synthetic) with a fresh filter.
Unfortunately it’s still burning.
Any ideas? Have I bought myself a lemon?

Sorry slight mistake, it isn’t 1L it’s about 500ml. After the service the oil was never showing as ‘full’ on the electronic dipstick. Another point that may be pertinent is it’s a 2017 model
