Default Infinity M45 not the best Japanese luxury sports sedan

The M45 came in third out of three in a Japanese luxury sports sedan shootout on Edmunds.com. Combine the best attributes of all three cars and you'd have...an A6. =)

Be sure to check out the video as well.

Default RL as sports sedan? Right...

I read the Edmunds article. Really rediculous. Bad choice of "sport" cars.

I can't find the article on-line yet, and I don't have a subscription. I'll have to check it out next time I'm at the store.

Default Honda / Acura claims the RL is a "performance sedan"

Their choice of words, not Edmunds. Check out the Acura web site.

I have to agree though--many of Edmunds' comparisons are lame, especially the Top 10 Lists: They just regurgitate the manufacturer's numbers and then draw some conclusions. No stated criteria, no comparisons, no real information.

Have you compared slalom numbers to the A6?

Default M45 originally for the Japanese domestic market

as a executive sedan. Hence it has the squared off, conservative look common to those cars (such as the Toyota Crown, Nissan Cedric/Gloria, Mitsubishi Debonair).

It's pretty plush but interior space isn't as generous for its size.

I take it that Nissan just wanted an easy solution of filling the market gap between the Q45 and the G35.

Default The previous M45 perhaps, this one is aimed squarely at the 5 series.

And if I'm not mistaken, interior room is one of the largest in the class.

Not to mention, the M35X has the same accelleration as the A6 4.2 and blows away the 3.2

too bad it's exterior styling is a bit boring and the interior shelf is a bit odd
