Interesting anomaly in Audi pricing IMO.

Suspension - different yes, but more costly than air suspension? I don't think so.
brakes - okay
seats - maybe, sport seats availalbe in A6 for no extra cost so this can't be a cost thing
looks - looks not far from an S line A4, no points
manual - was comparing tip to tip, available manual doesn't add cost
level of fun, etc. Anyne can think of anything else?

S4 chassis (like the A4) just sucks on a long drive - A6 is more way too comfy
It's comfort with bigger vs. 1.3 seconds of speed difference.
I'd go with a comfortable ride.
If you were younger and don't need comfort, then the S4 it is.

you should read reviews and real-world tests instead of quoting brochures...
And I can assure you an A6 3.2 hardly gets under 8 seconds 0-60mph...not anywhere close to 6.8.

That 7.1 is for a 4.2 V8 from 2006 that edmunds tested. The V6 does 7.9 with the wind at its back.
The 07 FSI gives you +15HP...hardly enough to make a 1.3sec improvement.
If you want <6 secs, you gotta get the S6...or an S4.

S4 is set up more aggressively ... I own a A6 4.2 & my father has the S4 cab and ...
the S4 feels much more geared towards sportiness than the A6. I know the weight difference bewteen the Cab and my a6 isn't that much but for some reason the S4 feels more like an animal when driving. Also when putting the tip in sport mode it is also A LOT more aggressive holding the gear a lot longer almost to the point of being annoying.
