Hi guys,
I've noticed the following problem: When I'm in drive mode and stationing the car is starting to have a vibration which is kind of annoying. If I switch to Neutral the vibration stops. Also, when taking off the brake pedal and the car begin moving, the vibration stops.
I took the car to a diagnose at Audi Service and no fault was discovered on the tester.
Does anybody had the same problem? What it could be?

My guess - Motor mount. When idling the fluid filled motor mounts switch to a softer setting to isolate the car from engine vibrations. Have the car scanned - the motor mounts may show an error code.

thanks for your fast replies!
I'll check and replace the engine mounts.
Also, what I forgot to mention is that the vibration appear only after let's say about 15 minutes spent in traffic. Never vibrate after just starting the engine...

Adrian - is it a pulsating vibration that you feel every 1-2 seconds, rather than a continuous vibration? I've felt something like that when in Drive and stopped at a light, when the RPM is at it's lowest. Happens at random times.

yes, it's a random pulsation(vibration) that is felt by me in the steering wheel and also by other passengers that are in the car(seats vibration). This happen only when I'm stopped at a light in Drive mode. If I switch the gear to Neutral the vibration stops. Also, if press release the pedal and car starts moving the vibration stops.
What is killing me is that I just visited the Audi Service and they had a check engine test and discovered NO FAULT ...
The mechanics told me, that the vibration is normal and so on, bla bla bla...![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Is a specific test that I can made to see if the engine mounts are broken?

Hi,
I've just checked the engine mounts in service and they are in a perfect condition. I rescanned the car again and we've discovered an engine fault: coolant pump.
Could be from this my problem?

I have 85.000 miles and I discovered that the ATF wasn't changed! I'll replace the oil this week ASAP.
I have the 2.0 TDI, 170CP engine.
Maybe the oil is the problem...when the engine is cold the vibration is zero, after 10-15 miles the vibration starts.
