I am considering the purchase of a C6 A6. Does Audi offer Ipod integration of any sort? I know that BMW does, and I see that Mercedes is offering a kit as well. Thanks for your responses.

Audi doesn't offer anything like what BMW is doing in terms of a OEM connection.

Some aftermarket stuff will be coming soon, but since the '05 A6 has a optical interface between the CD changer and the Radio the interfaces that had been available for the pre '05 (ex: Blitzsafe) will not work with the new A6.

Might want to search the A8 forum since they have had the MMI for longer than the A6 and perhaps found a work around.

You might also want to try an FM transmitter for your iPod. Might not be the most elegant solution, but should work.

Apple should integrate Bluetooth into the iPod!

I love the bluetooth phone integration.

If iPod was bluetooth then it's just a matter of software updates for car makers to build in the iPod integration. Then they can charge $795 for it.

But I don't think that Audi (or any other car w/ Bluetooth) transmits the Bluetooth call through all 10 speakers.

Thus if iPod would do Bluetooth you would hear the music in "stereo".

However, iPod with Bluetooth and wireless headphones would be great! (although not when driving).
