I've got an A6 4.2 and at ~8k miles it developed an oil leak....
the service dept. states that this is the first they've seen with a 4.2. This is my third 4.2 and is the first problem I've had.
Has anyone out there had an oil leak problem? It appears that it may be an oil pan gasket that is leaking.
