I just updated my 3G iphone to 3.0
I don't yet have AMI, but I was surprised to find the Voice Memo app that comes with 3.0 will playback over BT through the car stereo. During playback, the phone screen is displayed on the MMI. It made me wonder why the IPOD can't do this, or why a crafty app developer couldn't make it work.

I have not been able to get both music and phone at the same time unfortunately.. but it looks like a phone issue, not the AMI end. It looks like the pre is only capable of one thing at a time. Tried my friend's iPhone, same result.

So can i just buy this, hook it up to my MMI and stream tunes from my iphone to the car sound system??? Or am i being naive and wishful thinking?? LOL
