just got an 05, trouble transfering phone book with Iphone, Is there an MMI update, how do i get it?

Look for a post by Pierre and then click on his TSB link at the bottom. I found out my CPO'd 05 A5 hadn't half of the TSB's done. It is going in this week to have them performed and they are putting in newest MMI software as part of it.

Not an '05 issue... !
This is not an '05 issue per say - it's a MMI Software Version issue.
I know this for a fact because I just returned my '05 which had a VERY limit interaction with my iPhone... no phonebook etc but could be used via Bluetooth.
With my new '08 3.2 Quattro however everything (and I mean everything...) works perfectly and there's even different icons for my contacts 'mobile', 'home, & 'work' numbers.
So what you have do is go badger the heck out of your dealer to do the multiple tedious upgrades ... they will be VERY reluctant so you'll need to have a plan of attack.
Go get 'em !

Hey man, I really appreciate your advice. Do you have any suggestions about how I should approach this, or what i should say to them to get the dealer to do this MMI update for me???
