D'oh! I hate that. I only have 3,500 miles on it. So I started hitting the Engine Stop button first. It works but it is a sad workaround.

I just searched the forum and learned about the 15 second fix. I just did it. Let's see if the Engine Start button works in the morning.

I'm on my fourth button -- dealer says new ones come from different vendor or upgraded specs.

Try the fix. My advanced key stopped working yesterday and I had forgotten about the reboot. Tried it today and everything is working fine.
1 Enter car and leave door open.
2 With key in car but not in ignition hold down stop button for 15 sec
3 Push down on brake pedal and start car with start button.

It works.

Yes, the 15 second fix did the trick. It started okay for me to today.

I'm going to ask them to check mine because most of the time an excessive pressure is required to get the car to start. Only in the morning when the car is cold I can get it to start just by pressing with moderate or sometime even light force.

Most of the other problems with the C6 (most of which were with the V6) are relatively isolated. And the quantity of problems overall with the C6 A6 is on the small side, especially compared with older Audis. Of course, I am basing this on what I have read on numerous different websites from owners.
