So here I am, finally found some time off work and made to to Jackson Audi, MS. Thirty minutes later Audi rep comes out and tells me HID fails to ignite (which I already know that's why I brought the car here in the first place) and tells me it's going to be 198$. 198??? WTF! I told the it is covered by Audi Warranty. He "tried" to pull out some paper saying that it is only covered for 12 months. While he was BS me I called Audi USA and right over the phone they told the rep that I am COVERED! Rep of course started to make excuses, saying that they didn't know that the Audi have extended the warranty etc. WTF! You are the authorized audi dealer and you didn't know? Anyways I am still pretty upset even though the car is getting fixed. I better not miss my flight in 2 hrs because of them!

I had a single HID ignitor fail at ~17,000 miles (~2 years) and the dealer took care of it. They ignited at very different rates - and it got more and more obvious over a 3 month period. Take thee to the dealer ASAP! It's BAD!

so i just replaced my passenger side HID. it was a bitch as i had to remove the air intake... once i did that, i replaced the bulb, put the igniter back, installed everything turned the headlights back on, they worked, however, once the light came on, it was blue as it should be and then it turned clear, no color....
and the when the dark came it did not work at all.. i am thinking its also the igniter. any other ideas guys... much appreciated. thanks
