looking for performance tire recommendations
Spring is in the air, the conti contacts need to be swapped out in seasonal favor of performance tires. They need to be suitable for occassional wet and mostly dry, the car will not be autocrossed; but will be spiritedly driven, occassionaly at high speed (Nevada). I'm guessing that some of you have favorites, and some have strong opinions, so please chime in on your recommendations. I will use 235/40 18's on an 06 S-line 4.2. GmbH 5 arms.

Falken Azenis ST115's which add "very quiet" to your list of wants. . .
They are Z rated and Summer only tires -- although I did use them through a Cincinnati mild winter on an allroad without much trouble.

The correct 18 inch tire size for the C6 A6 is 245/4018
235/4018 would be too narrow for the C6 A6. Plus, handling and other aspects of performance with 235/4018 tires on the C6 A6 would be degraded. The ride would be mushier, too. Not to mention the speedometer error that the C6 A6 would have with 235/4018 tires.
