Thanks, Rydewitme - that's the same question I've had; I owned an '06 A6 3.2 and put Eibachs and Koni FSD's on it - loved the look and the handling, but I soon traded for an '07 A6 4.2 S-Line...just curious if/when the need/desire arises, doing the same spring/damper combo on the '07 will make any difference compared to it's current setup...

I have heard stories that people drove for tens of thousands miles without issues.

Thoughts?
The shocks are compressed all the time, so will be more prone to slow leakage. You detect a pogo-ing effect, which becomes worse over time as you lose the damping effects of a normal shock absorber.

What is a pogo-ing affect?

Where your car will bounce a couple of times after a bump instead of only once.

Using the stock level as a basis, the sport suspension (not sure if available in the States) drops the car 25 mm, and the s-line 35 mm.

Believe that H&R drops the car 45 mm, but I can't confirm that.

My car has settled to abt 40 mm below stock, could be due to the FSDs.

The reason why I didn't use the s-line shocks/dampers is because they make the ride very hard. Tooth-filling detaching hard. FSDs are great, but you gotta get used to the switch in damping rates in your first corner when the frequency is correct to shift to the harder rate.

I am thinking of the S-Line springs/FSD set-up now. Initially I wanted to do Eibach/FSD but now I have changed my mind and leaning more towards the S-Line springs/FSD set-up. Based on what I have read it seems to me that the S-Line/FSD gives you the best of both worlds (performance/confort) compared to aother set-ups. I believe that the S-Line drop is 25mm but I have also some conflicting information of a 35mm drop. Can some of confirm the the drop is 25mm and not 35mm? Thank you in advance.
