I got a chance to take a quick look at the Motor Trend test that had the S6 come in first, M5 in second and E63 last. While the S6 was still slower than the other compettitors in the straight line, it did 0-60 as advertised in 5.1 seconds with a 13.6 quarter mile @ 104 and change, with the M5 and E63 doing it in 4.3 and 4.4 (can't remember which one was quicker) The S6 stopped in a shorter distance than the either competitor. It had the best grip also and did the MT figure 8 in the quickest time. The biggest surprise was that the S6 was only 1 tenth slower around Bantonville race track than the M5 (7 speed), the E63 was about half a second or a bit more back. MT should have the article up online pretty soon along with the virtul 3D video of the cars on the race track.

Who cares about the 0-60.. Not me. It's the 50-80 and the 70- 100 that counts. I have an S4 now and I love that pulling power. In the S6, I would think it's even better. Looking forward to an S6 when my lease is up next year!!!

That although the S6 was slower to 60 in a straight line that the breaking and cornering was on par or better than the M5 and E63. This car was not made for 0-60, but for real world use. In the rain or snow around the track, the S6 would dominate...
