I'm pretty much a noob when it comes to working on cars... they're my obsession but not my skill. How difficult was the RS6 grill swap? Would a buddy and I, with limited knowledge, be able to take care of it on a Saturday afternoon?

Yes, but make sure you get some diagrams that show you were the screws are. Use some black masking tape to cover the crash bar. I think there is a thread floating around here how a grill swap is done. Also can get a bit tricky with cold weather package, but I used the box to support the bumper once unscrewed so that I didn't have to disconnect the lines.

Thanks, that one I thought about for a while... in the end I liked it cause those have clean lines and make the car look pissed without too much of the slant as some other ones I have seen. It's a cheezy mod in some ways, but somehow it works on an Audi. =)

Lookin' good. Just get some spacers on the rear, drop the front 1/2" and you'll be perfect. Not sure why you're bent out of shape about the rubbing- any time you lower a car and put wider wheels on, rubbing will occur. You've gotta pay to play.

I happen to disagree. I drive very aggressively and do not want to have tires/wheels that rub preventing me from pushing my vehicle to the limit. With another ½” drop in front my tire catches the fender on half a turn. Spacers on 20x9 ET 40 with 265x30x20 on lowered vehicle will make the car impossible to drive… it will rub on all four corners with no people in the car. I sometimes rub now with people in it on turns with dips and I can’t stand it! I realize you’re bagged with an aggressive setup, but in the same time you are running much thinner tires, different offset, and we use our cars for different purposes. You can also adjust how high you want your car to sit while driving or parked. I pay to play to go fast not scrape. I would pay more not to scrape at all, but that would mean getting custom rims which is not an option now. I laugh at cars that can’t make it over speed bumps or scrape on a turn. I personally think that if you scrape your parts are not fitting right, but that’s just my opinion. Thanks for the suggestions though! ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

No worries, I completely understand. You could also have your front fenders rolled for more clearance if you'd like. It's a very straightforward process that will eliminate any rubbing issues up front.
