Default Do you have advanced key?

Curious because I am having similar issues on my 08 3.2 quattro. I now have 457 miles on mine. I have not taken it to the dealer yet. This has happened to me maybe 5 times.

Default You should already be on the phone with AOA.

No 'brand new' car should ever have this severe of a problem. Lemon law was written for a reason, this is one of those reasons. Get it logged with AOA so you have recourse if the dealer doesn't want to give you a new car. JMO.

Default I disagree

I disagree that he should be getting a new car. With the complexity of vehicles these days they are bound to have flaws. Would Audi, and the customer of course, like to have perfection? OF COURSE!! But that is just not realistic. This sounds like it is a simple problem that will be addressed. It's not like the dealership or Audi has turned their back on the customer. If so that would be a different story. Is the customer due something for the inconvenience? Probably so. But giving someone a new car because there was a defect that is repairable? No way.

Default He should have patience, but should also open a "case" w/AoA if only to document the goings on.

I agree that it is too soon to start making demands, particularly for a buy-back.

Default On the bright side...

At least it did it for them while at the dealer. You know most of the time problems never show up when you take it in.

Default A6 is well again, kind of.

In case any of you have the problem i did, it turned out to be the starter. After 9 days at the dealer, that is what they determined. Hmmmm, car doesn't start, i would think the first thing they would check would be......the starter. Nevertheless, the car is starting and running great. Unfortunately today as i was washing it, i noticed they scratched my rear quarter panel (only slightly, zaino took care of 95% of it), and worstly, my wheel!

It's go time with AOA, and now additionally my dealer.

Default Interesting

Mine is in the shop again, second time, for the non starting issue.

Incidentally, on the first trip to the dealer for service they messed up 3 of 4 rims. They are of course repairing them today. If they aren't satisfactory I will be demanding new rims.

Default Imagine that....

They have not been able to reproduce the problem in the shop.

I'm not taking it back until it's fixed.
