Default My S6 is almost done...some photos

Got my S6 about 6 weeks ago. I installed the Escort 9500ci (radar and laser shifters), Huper Optik tint, Milltek exhaust, and had the wheels powder coated and the grille painted. Next week I am going back to my mechanic to have have them fab a cold air intake (I would welcome any ideas for set-ups that people really like for this...have seem good reviews of MSDS filters and a couple examples of CAI's elsewhere on the site).

Wheels look good black. Gotta let me know how the laser diffusers work for you.

Default Escort

The jammers work very well so far. I have put almost 4k miles on the car since I got it with no tickets. The vast majority of my driving is on the highways of NY, CT and MA where there are lots of traps everywhere including laser. Most of my driving is not crazy - I'll toss the cruise on 85 and get up to 90 in different spots as I manuver through traffic and no issues at all. I think at much faster than 85 or so and the cops will pull you over if they see you even with no radar/laser reading (or so I'm told by a friend who is a state trooper) to give you a hard time if nothing else. For me, I wanted to be able to make good time on longer highway trips without getting tickets and that's exactly my experience so far. I'm definitely not a street racer type who drives 70mph in 30mph zones, so for that type of driving its hard for me to attest to their effectiveness.

Needs some wheel spacers to finish off the aggressive look. Looks mean.

The following people did the work on the car and I would recommend them highly for people in the NY area:

Escort 9500ci install - Dan Toth, www.DTSPerformanceInc.com
Tint - Tom Kovach, www.theartoftint.com
Grille & Wheels - Mario/Robert, www.proformanceindustries.com
Exhaust and CAI - Mike, www.tyrolsport.com

I agree on the spacers. Do you have a recommendation on spacer sizing and where to get them? I have never used them before - any issues with them changing performance or causing issues at all with the car?

H&R hubcentric are great. Seems like 15 to 20mm up front and 20-25mm out back would be best with stock wheels. I beleive DVTT has some on.

Your satisfaction with the escort will only increase with time. The more you drive the more the false readings are stored in the escort which is a huge plus. Definitely something that I really like about it.
