Can tire seapration cause steering wobble and drastic pull? <hr style="color: rgb(255, 255, 255); background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" size="1"> <!-- / icon and title --> <!-- message --> I just had new brakes, control arm bushings and an alignment, all tires have correct pressure. I have wobble in the steering wheel that increases to speed and very drastic pull to the right. Tire shop says I have separation on 3 tires both front and left rear. Can this cause what I'm feeling?

Won't say the tire brand as they were on the car when purchased used 1 year ago. But they are cheap.

PS I've already STFA for the past 3 days and have ideas about tie rod ends, and differential & tranny fluid.

Yes a tire seperation can definately cause the symptoms you're experiancing As a matter of fact I have had this exact thing happen on my company car this weekend. The front left tire seperated and it was wobbling to the point I thought the rim was bent, or loose, or suspension messed up, and it was pulling. New tire fixed it right up.

So they did an alignment on your car and never noticed the problems with the tires? I'd see them after the tires are replaced and ask for a freebie.

No. The alignment place, Firestone, found the tire problem while doing the alignment.

I'm making arrangements to swap the tires to make sure that is the problem an to further check them off the car.
