New A6 S-Line owner - question

Hi, I just bought a certified low milage 2006 A6 S-Line and absolutely love it. I had traded my Touareg in for a Passat Variant several months ago wanting to be more responsible and 'eco-friendly'. Unfortunately, I couldn't get comfortable with the car. The 2.0T engine was brilliant but the fit and finish was difficult to get used to. Fortunately, my dealer was prepared to take the Passat back against the A6 for a very reasonable difference and I couldn't be happier.
Unfortunately however, the tire pressure specs sticker isn't on the car and I hoped someone could tell me what the Audi recommends and secondly, the optimal pressure based on experience. Again, its an S-Line with the 18 tires; I believe 245/40-18.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks.

Sure the sticker isn't there? On the 2007 its in the driver's door jamb, but check all four door jambs plus the inside of the gas tank door. FWIW, my '07 S-Line w/19" OEM wheels is specced for 44 lbs. all the way around, and I use that same pressure on my winter set up.

Thanks very much to you both.
I've checked the door jams and the gas tank door...no luck.
The tires themselves indicate a maximum pressure of 50 lbs. Something around 44 lbs. would appear to be quite reasonable.
If someone with an S-Line and 18" oem wheels could possible check their sticker, it would be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks again.

Door jam indicates "max load" pressure...i.e. 5 passengers + luggage...for 18" S-Line A/S tires it is 38 psi front 42 rear, but IIRC the manual has different recommendations for less load.
