I know that the accuracy of Nav data has been topic of various threads but does anybody have information about the release of a new DVD? Would it depend on Audi or Navtech? How would we obtain one? How much would it be?

Will it change the NAV software or only the maps???

I was wondering when the new NAV DVD was coming out as well. So I went and bugged my dealer until he gave me one that came from an 2006 A6. When I loaded into the NAV computer, the MMI informed me that there was new software that needed to be installed. I went through the screen prompts on the MMI and installed the software. I am happy to report that the NAV DVD "Crashed" my NAV system and Audi is replacing it later this week. Apparently the new software doesn't "play" well with 2005 NAV computer.

I'm not sure what the software differences are, there wasn't any information displayed, on the MMI, as the software loaded. I can't wait until it's fixed.

On mine, it happenned twice, i got a percentage count and a message that Navigation was loading, so the European software is different from yours, i think.
