as for breaking it in, some dealers say don't go over 90mph in the first 1000 miles, others(like mine) say its ready to go fast out of the box. All agree to vary your RPM's for the first 1000 miles though. Have fun.

Thx! Had an '01 S4 (of course yellow) and really loved it but needed more size. No RS6s or S6 at the time so got a BMW 545 6speed. Hated it from day one! Really looking foward to rejoining the world of Audi.

Two rulez of thumb I got from several Audi engineers:
- try to avoid more than 4,000 rpm the first 10km (~6 miles) when engine is cold (that rule is ment for the life of your Audi)
- don't keep it at constant rpm for a long time the first 1,000 miles
That's basically it. All engines are ready for full speed when they are warmed up first.
