etc.I will say that this topic was about the new rvu and thought you as audi fans would call and see if it applied to your model year. your 33.6 to 41.40 has nothing to do with my personel results of the software update.most audi techs know that 2005 and early 2006 had many and still have tech problems and will probably always will. In 2007 major hardware and software changes resolved all the problems of the previous 2 yrs.
For you who have these 05-06 cars you can get the software 33.6-41.40.its easy to see how posts from,08a6ing,esn,frybear, are people who look for other issiues than the points in the posts about c6-a6.they dont even know that there was a rvu out there. its sad to see these poor saps in this forum making up things about there cars and how to deal with software,modifications,etc and generally mis leading forum fans.
my tech has serviced all my 12 audis and 3 porsche and is one of the top 5 audi techs in the u.s. after he read back 14 pages into this forum in the last day he said simply its sad and mis leading to all c-6 fans, let them screw up there cars even more. i see them all the time and they referance "i heard it on the c-6 forum"he said to me dont waste your time with people like this they are probably really driving fords or chevy pick up trucks. they can live there poor $$ lives in there own mis informed world. good luck, you will all need it.

Re: my basis to this was not all about 05-06 .i know that the software for your
car was improved by the up grades. 2007 did not require a up grade to 33.6 or up etc..It was the software and the hardware in 07 that was quite a bit different even though it is version 27.40 the rvu that i had done made a few menu changes and speed of operation better for the telephone use.

Then it would behoove you to get your facts straight before you start throwing accusations around.
I've never encouraged anyone to update their MMI, nor have I ever suggested that updating is in any way necessary. And, even if I had, what is the point of name calling, other than shining an ugly light back on you?

In any event, if you have something you believe is worthwhile imparting to the Board, it would behoove you to take the time to write coherently. Even if you were rushed in the first instance (although your incoherence continued into successive posts), you still could have come back and edited it.
Instead, you respond with attacks and insults. Not to mention exaggerated claims, like your Audi tech is one of the top 5 in the country, as "proof" that you must be right.
So, as I said, you know what they say about opinions.
