What were the issues that branded your BMW a lemon? Sad to see it back on the market for an unsuspecting buyer. I think the lemons should be parted out and then scrapped.

well hopefully the next person will look at the carfax... although i do have to say carfax misses a lot it's best to spend a couple hours at the local dealer to have a car inspected before buying...

High pressure fuel pump failure. Common 335i problem especially in CA (might have something to do with ethanol content in the gas). got the message - "Engine malfunction - Reduced Power along with shaking when I started the car). Rattling from the front driver side window. Squeaky brakes. Rear suspension noise. Resonance (fluttering) noise within cabin at certain speeds. Vibrations from the rear of the car at lower speeds (1-2 gear).
We did European delivery on her - went to Munich, picked her up at the newly constructed BMW Welt -drove a little over 1k miles in Germany/Austria; took her to 125mph with the top down (was following break-in procedure within the first 1000 miles - I crossed the 1000 mark on the last day; but didn't take her to the 155 max speed).

The HPFP issue has now been resolved with a redisigned pump, the squeaky brakes could have been taken care of by turning the rotors and swapping for different pads, the resonance is just a design issue as laminar airflow over car will sometimes cause that. Like when you have only one rear window down, or some cars with their sunroofs open. But you also have to take into account with your vibration issues that convertibles are not as rigid as coupes as the additional roof structure adds rigidity to the entire chassis. Sorry to see you had to get rid of her, but those issues would have drove me crazy too.

No, HPFP issue still persists. '09's built as late as July of this year are still failing (http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...ight=fuel+pump).
BMW has increased the warranty on those pumps to 10 year, 120k miles. which basically means that they have not found a solution to the problem.
