My car(A6,3.2l--65 k) have been consuming:
one quater of oil betwen 7k and 8k miles,after oil changed(oil check light come up).

I dont have any leaking or any problem (as far as i know),so looks normal to me ,I read some thread that said" wrote down on service manual:your car can consuming up to quater every 1000 miles",i think it is too much,but it is a good news for me ...

I do my oil change by myself every 10k,castrol synthetic,5w 40,6.9 quaters(i always try to be in the middle but remember low oil it is better than high.)
BTW i did last week my spark plugs and the old ones looks greats,next time i will wait 85 k or 90k to change my spark plugs again.

Check the oil when you fill up..it's just a good habit..keep it between the marks. Check the manual.
