Default Oil in Exhaust Pipes?
I was wondering if anybody has any information as to what could be the cause of oil being found in the exhaust pipes. I have a 2005 A6; I'm away at college right now and my parents brought the car in for an oil change, and the tech said oil was found in the exhaust pipes. They mentioned that it could be something wrong with the engine but did not specify on it.

If there was oil it probably would also be smoking quite badly. If it is not then it may just be a mixture of soot and water.

My parents say there is a little bit of smoke coming out of the exhaust. And the oil is on the inside of the muffler.
