Oil filter housing seal appears to be leaking badly. '06 C6 3.2
I've been dealing with oil leaks the whole 15 months that I've had this car.
Most we're temporarily solved with valve cover gaskets. However, I now have a "drip off of the TOP rear of the engine, dripping down both sides.
I'm believing that it is most likely the oil filter housing seal. Maybe, the oil pressure sensor located on it.
For a long time, I believed that the upper timing covers were the problem, but when I run my fingers under their lower edges, they seem dry.
A related circumstance is that this car has 185k miles on it. So, oil leaks can, somewhat, be expected.
Bentley makes the housing removal & replacement seem pretty straight forward.
Has anyone had to replace this seal because it was leaking. If so, how cramped was it to get to the housings four bolts?

So there is something a little ****ting about the 3.2l engines... the oil leaks
The timing covers are the worst, then if some n00b changed the oil filter improperly, eg: tighten with too much torque etc: The housing will leak badly. If it is the housing, that is a couple hundred bucks to replace. If it is one or all of the four timing chain covers in the back, not an easy fix but do able. And expensive if all four are needed.
I would propose to get a couple cans of brake/engine cleaner and spray down the entire back of the engine. and rinse with water. Then get your hands on an ebay wifi or usb scope and you can then get a better idea where the leak is coming from.
Hope this helps
