Oil leak under head gasket 2005 A6 3.2
Any suggestion on how to repair it?
Audi dealer is asking $5000 for head gasket replacement.
Would you use snakeoil to repair it ????
Any suggestion?
Thanks

Sorry but I can’t take picture, not enough space.
When the engine is running there is on oil leak.
When I turn the engine off then the oil starts coming out from the head gasket under the timing chain cover. There is no oil leak from the timing chain cover

Is oil dripping or spotting on your driveway, garage, etc??? You did not say on your original mewssgae. If you have a leak that's making it down to the pavement you should get it fixed. It will only get worse and make a mess of things.
BUT...I would get more opinions. $5000 is way off in my opinion.
