Open door lock question

You might be able to set it up through the MMI. I am assuming you have Advanced Key
I know I can walk up to the driver's door and it will unlock by lifting the lever. I know it doesn't unlock the trunk at least because my wife tryed to open it after I opened the driver's door.

From the inside of the car? Or the outside?
You can set the locking system to a variety of combinations via the MMI. I am unclear, however, if you meant you wanted to open the driver's door from the inside or outside, as there is a button on the inside AND the outside.
And, with advance key, you can just walk up to the car on the driver's side and other people can be approaching the car on the opposite side and within reason all the doors can be opened once the key is within proximity.
Further, via MMI, you have automatic door locking options (combinations) based on your inputs.

Yes, the MMI gives you full control over how many other doors are tied to the driver's side locking function. I believe it's under the central locking menu.
