I did a search for Optima in this forum but didn't get a single hit. If I have to replace my own battery, does anyone know if I can use an Optima? Optima batteries are generally the best on the market and I have had very good luck with them in other cars. Perhaps this is not the case on an A6 however...

Admitted, the problem batteries have been replaced under warranty, but I'll give tnem a miss next time around.

Nearly a couple of years later I thought I'd bump. I've put optimas in my other cars and really liked them, but with the whole power monitoring system and all, I wondered whether such a battery would work. Anyone have one in a C6?

Try searching for Optoma. I have one and love it. There's a deal in my post about it, too... Best price I've found anywhere, better than eBay.
