Default parasitic draw 2008 A6 C6

Hi everyone. I'm asking for any input to try to help eliminate a parasitic draw that has developed on my 2008 A6. My independent shop had it hooked up to some diagnostic contraption for 3 or 4 days and there was a brief 1 minute 5 amp draw but nothing else. I'm scheduled to return it again next week but wanted to see if there's anything like the infamous brake light issue I had with my prior allroad - which was sell known on user group forums but not that will known with the Kansas City Audi dealer. I told the shop that one weird thing is that I've got an ongoing fault that will not clear with the alarm horn - but they don't seem to think that's the issue. But I found a post by haloguy628 that indicated an issue with his alarm horn was causing a drain. Copy of my scan with the horn error is attached. Appreciate anyone's input on this, the period of time for the battery to die varies between overnight and more than a month. Replacing the battery was the first step - but the issue is ongoing. I've never had a code that would not clear - the shop called it a hard fault and didn't seem to think that was related to this. The alarm horn does chirp when the car is locked - which makes the error code even less clear to me.

Thanks for any input - am also going to try to contact haloguy628 directly.

the standard method to track down the electric current is to connect your amp meter to the battery circuit. It will show the current from the battery.
after this, lock the car and start pulling and replacing one fuse at a time. at some point, you will notice that the current drops. That fuse is the source of the current.
In my case, it was the audio amp.

Thanks - my shop had it connected to their machine for 3 days - there was a 1 minute blip when it had an excessive draw but they weren't able to track it down during that minute. I've replaced the alarm horn and haven't had a dead battery since then so am hoping the advice from haloguy628 based on his experience with the defective alarm horn may take care of it. Thanks for your suggestion!

Just an update - after replacing the alarm horn with a used version about 3 weeks ago and managing to clear the prior fault (which wasn't as simple as normal) the parasitic draw seems to have stopped. If anything changes I'll update again but for now everything seems resolved, strangely.

i have the same issue too 2006 a6 3.2 and also my battery level meter in MMI settings is stuck at 10%. My alternator is good did have to jump start the car a few days but I haven’t done that around 3 days now. Did a battery test at Auto zone which everything came out 95% so don’t know what’s the issue, I definitely need some assistance thank you

Not sure I have any advice to give you on this and suspect you'll need at least a Ross Tech scan to start things and confirm you don't have any other issues.

Then it's a lot more complicated, and the suggestion from beep beep is the normal way to start tracking it down - can be parts, wiring, etc. - a needle in a haystack, in many cases.
