Default Passenger Front Door Not locking

I know there are a few TSBs on the locks but has anyone had this issue?

All doors lock with key fob except the passeneger front. The car does not chirp when armed. When I open the door the alarm sounds. I dont have my VAG cable at the moment so best way to troubleshoot would be...???

If you can manually lock the door then most likely the relay that locks it electronically is gone. This was quite wide spread problem on earlier VAG cars. The solution was to replace the locking mechanism as you could not just replace the relay.

Was it really cold when this happened? Maybe the module has some moisture in it and it froze?

Otherwise it is most likely a failure of the Door lock module (1B in the ETKA pic) and has to be replaced as it is sealed and comes as one part.

What I would do is this:

Get the car scanned with VAG-COM
Remove the door panel and see if all harness connections are firmly in place
Call dealer and get the part number confirmed
Get new module and install it

Good Luck

No it's been like this for a few months. Appreciate...I'll be getting my cable back from my buddy this weekend so we'll see.

If everything else works on that door then it looks like the door lock module is gone. The part # on the fault code is for the control unit passenger door LHD and it's reporting that the locking unit has problem (intermittent signal) starting on 30 July 2013. I was getting the same fault code on my old Passat.

Call Audi parts counter and get the part number based on the VIN # as I am not sure which part # you need. Here is third part # I found but when you search this part it shows 2002 - 2004 MY. So just make sure you get it right.
