As far as I known, the oil change interval is still recommended at 10000 miles by Audi. Millions of drivers in Europe and other countries have gone beyond 10000 miles for oil change interval and there is no wide spread problems associated with the longer oil change interval. It is only in the US, the land of plenty and the land of big waste that we insist on changing out perfectly good oil.
