Question for manual cars, esp. diesels.
When accelerating, I get a certain amount of feedback through my foot when pressing down the clutch pedal. It's a sort of rough feeling which isn't there all the time. It's like you can feel the engine through the clutch. Surely with an hydraulic clutch you should feel nothing. Any ideas?

What do you mean...
by feedback? I've got the 2.0Tdi and I've not noticed anything strange via the clutch....
Ahhh, now I come to think of it, I do get a little bit of juddering when pulling off in 1st gear, but apart from that, there is no "feedback" in other gears/situations.
Cheers

Re: What do you mean...
A sort of a very mild feeling of coarseness when putting in the clutch during acceleration. Not there all the time. No discernable pattern to when it comes or goes.
