My 2005 A6 3.2 has its rear left seat belt latch was taken into the rear retractor. Does anyone know how to fish it back out? I have pulled the seatbelt all the way out but the latch is caught up inside the plastic housing of the retractor. Help!

Just had this same problem happen in my '08.
You need a flashlight, and bent coat hanger (no sharp points), a partner (to hold the flashlight), and a herky-jerky motion.
Make a small blunt "hook" at the end of the coat hanger.
Insert the coat hanger into the top of the plastic housing.
Gently "jerk" the seatbelt strap until you see the latch about 4" back in the plastic housing. Try to get it to stay there.
Grab the latch with the coat hanger hook and pull out.
