2006 A6 3.2...
Here's what I've been in for:
- Busted mmi **** (twice...first time was 3 days after delivery)
- Airbag light
- Car drifting to the right (started after 5k scheduled maintenance)
- Advanced key stopped working (twice)
- Very loud rattle on passenger side seat
So far, no problems with the engine itself...most seem related to the gadgets. The trips in for service are annoying, but after the first 3, they started picking up the car at my house and leaving me with a loaner.
Still, its definitely not a car I'd keep after the warranty.

Had to take it in for oil leak (cam seal leak), and twice for adaptive headlight warning, finally getting the entire adaptive lights replaced.
Since then, its been perfect. I am glad I bought it and wouldn't change my decision even if I could.

The day, the HOUR that I picked up my 2005 A6 3.2, the Advanced Key did not work.
Yet, before the paperwork was finished, the switch had been mended somehow, I did not watch.
Twice more about 4 or 5 weeks deep each time, the switch went out again. At month 3 or 4, then I had had 4 switches in total. My 12th lease payment will be in May, 2006. I have had no problems with the switch since then.
I have had the car in for the 5,000 and 15,000 mile checkup/oilchange.
Once, after about 7 months, I had new wiper blades installed (no charge.)
The surround rear mode on the Bose system will stay in surround rear mode for? A day? A week, two weeks? Yep -- you never know when the sound system on Sirius or CD will revert to NORMAL mode.
This car has not been technically flawless. It has been damn close from my point of view.
Best Audi ever, best car ever (Audi #28) -- LOVE THE ENGINE, wish I had paid the extra $250 for the sport suspension (I have every other damn thing, beats me why I didn't go for the sport set up.)
I had some very "annoying" issues with two Audi A6 4.2's (MY 2000 and 2001) -- try 9 sets of brake rotors (all no charge, but still annoying.)
Tip lag RELATIVELY speaking is almost a non issue anymore (after over 16,000 miles on the C6 A6). On the A8 and two A6's the auto transmissions worked hard to train ME to prevent rolling stop lag.
I still miss the stick and wish for at least the choice of the DSG or the Tip, but I no longer fear for my life with the Audi Automatics, if they never are any worse than this one (and this is not specific to Audis -- all the Germans seem to program their auto versions to rapidly upshift and reluctantly downshift.)
Indeed, not a reliability issue at all and almost cured by keeping the car is S mode. Tip mode is **** on a bull if you asked me.
Anyway, although not flawless -- damn close.
Usually by this time in my lease, I am lusting for the next -- not even close to that feeling with this one.

I've had my '05 3.2 for six months now. No reliability issues at all (knocking white birch). My wife drives a '99 A4 2.8... The only issue we've had with that car is an ignition module failure.

I have 2500 miles on my 2006 4.2 s-line. I have had zero problems. Believe it or not, my wife's lexus GX470 was suprisingly problematic during the first 3000 miles. Her car now has 36000 miles and has had an unexpected number of transmission, paint, and brake problems (the paint started peeling off the front bumper after 28,000 miles).
