The Audi Family - '01 A6, '13 A6, '17 A4
Folks, I have a 2013 A6 245/45R18 Tires - after 2 sets of ContiProContacts that have lasted maybe 40,000 km with changing out in the Winter each year - I am planning on changing.
I put on 35,000 km / year of mainly highway driving.
Had a set of Cooper CS5 Ultra Touring on my wife's golf 16" tires and they performed well.
Any experiences - good or bad with the Coopers on the larger rims.
Big complaints about Conti's - wear and road noise when older.
I can save about $50 / tire with the Coopers - and I am hoping wear, noise will be better - with a slight sacrifice in handling. (Am I on the right track?)

I've put Continental DWS-06's on my 2006 A6 quattro 3.2, after to pro contacts.
The ride is a little stiffed, but the traction & resonsiveness is much better. Their life is 30% longer too, & they cost less!

I have had maybe 3 sets of Conti’s but the last wore out before the warranty. They paid me I think around $300. I am new to Cooper but I did recently put them on my wife’s Lexus and my Jaguar XKR, they seem great so far.
