after a little research, the ultra white halogens are brighter than LEDs and look like much less hassle. Thanks for the pics.

After a while I got the air filter off...how does the the light/socket come out of the light housing? Does it twist?

Yes. Stick your hand in, slight push forward and about 30 Degree twist to the left. Passenger side (after air box is removed) is plenty of room to work with. Driver side is very tight and it was hard for me to make that twist and was even harder to put the bulb back in. I used needle tip pliers to twist the bulb in place

Also, when the headlights are off, because the bulb itself is blue, you inner headlight will look blue-ish. I like it but if toy don't might want to consider different Bulb without blue-ish tint to it.

I bought these at Advanced Auto Parts and put them in. They are considerably brighter, but still have a yellow tinge. I don't know that I'm up for putting in another set, my hands are kind of large and very torn up.

Yes, I've tried these. Founf them in Advanced auto parts. The box claimed to be 25% brighter but ones I ttested them prior to putting them in, they were just as yellow as my current bulb (seen from the picture). I went and bought a set from ebay (my picture). They were ~$5 and are pretty white.
