ULABB,
How about this..............I was just doing more research and I see lots of people saying that an option is to have a tire shop shave some rubber off of the new tires to bring them down closer to the circumference of the old tires. My old tires are at 4/32 (not too bad). My new tires are at 7/32 or 8/32 depending on where you measure them. If I got them to shave them down to 6/32 that would bring me to a diff of 2/32 between my old and new. I know that sounds crazy but I could probably have that done for $25 per tire ($50 total). And the tires would probably still last me 2 years. I'm thinking about it.

Thanks for your feedback KevinGary. I have come to the conclusion that you are rich. You spare no expense.

If you rotate tires, you won't have too much delta between your front and rears, so you only need to change them all at once vs. the 2 at a time. Also, I've found that sale of 4 tires tend to be better than 2 tires.
Thanks Raj. And I agree with buy 4 is cheaper than 2. I could have gotten a $50 rebate if I got all 4 of these. I will call them and see if they can still give it to me if I go back and get 2 more. Thanks again.

There is an old saying in Balkans poorly translated..."while there are sheeps...there will be wool".
it is like when they tell you you need wheel alignment if you want to change tires...but you need tires bc you never inflated them properly not bc you hit the curb..the if you need alinment the you will need come more parts since alignment us not somthing that wears out..ball joins are....omg...
2/32 is the minimum for safety inspection to pass..4/32 would be time to change it..you want to have deeper tread to expel water..or you will be hidroplaning...
there is a little " bridge" between two lines of treads..then those treads are even..you got 2/32 depth...you can feel it if you put the finger between those treads and follow around...
i never worried about ruining diff or trans...if you have rubber fighting metal gears...what do you think will win?
