Hey guys,
I have a 3.2 06 quattro and have been noticing something weird when accelerating. Maybe someone can shed some light on it more than the service manager at the Audi dealership.
During acceleration, low or high speeds, moving from 3rd to 4th gear, there is a short instant where the RPM's drop by 300-500 or so revs, mid gear.
It will be in 3rd, rev half way to 4th, drop RPMs, continue to rev for a bit then shift into 4th.
The service manager said it's the computer doing this but I haven't seen this happen with any other vehicles. Can someone provide some input? Thanks

I've seen this sometimes as well.. and heard of someone complaining on a different forum (audi-forum.com or audiforum.us ... there are so many of these). I think he referred to this as a 'ghost shift' or a 'phantom shift'.
